Aji (ah-gee) Spice House is an indigenous owned, multi award winning cafe and restaurant inspired by South East Asian cusine.

Owned by Dion & Nalini, devoted foodies that together bring a new perspective to meal  preparation. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner, the cafe is based in the Brisbane inner city suburb of Teneriffe on the bustling London Woolstore building open air terrace.

The menu conceived by owner/chef Nalini, explores her Indian heritage with a variety of dishes mixing the best of cuisines, including a host of small mix-n-match plates, the house special “ barramundi paratha tacos” and a huge breakfast menu. Tantalise your taste buds with Nalini’s family recipe curries.  These dishes have been made with traditional spices and ingredients for generations, and are something that Nalini is very passionate about. She loves to share her vast experience, stories of years living in Japan, her youth spent in kitchens cooking curries with her aunties, and she believes that collaborating with the Nepalese chefs is an ideal way to bring a range of flavours and spices to delight all palettes.

The cafe bar is a popular spot for residents and visitors to Teneriffe who are looking for a unique dining experience. Aji’s eclectic atmosphere and creative menu make it a great place to eat, drink and yarn with friends.

Named in honour of Dion’s mother  “Aji” a proud Yuggera woman.  Our family aims to keep her memory alive, to respect our ancestors and acknowledge the sacrifices they have made to help us be here today.
